You can hardly see it now with my tattoo and age , but close to 20 years ago I cut my left arm to the bone almost severing both major arteries and bleeding out at the site of the accident. Doctors said if it had been just a few years earlier they would have amputated the arm as the technology to sew the tendons to the muscle bed didn't exist. I never thought I would be able to climb again and I still have limited feeling in my left thumb and index finger. Through years of PT and massage I was able to regain close to full use of this hand but atrophy still sets in if I don't continue to train it specifically. Last year I was introduced to the Gripedo and having tried so many different methods I was quite skeptical. However this rugged piece of equipment has become a total game changer for me as I need to do none climbing specific exercises to maintain my overall strength and dexterity. Lesson here is don't move a 50 gallon aquarium by yourself and if you do and almost die get yourself a Gripedo. Gripedo team rocks! Thanks for helping me persevere!!

I am PSYCHED on the Gripedo trainer! Gripedo might be the best way for us puny climbers to fit in amidst all the tank top bros in the weight room. This grip trainer slips on to end of a barbell and offers multiple grips letting you twist and lift to build pure grip strength, as well as do sled pulls, static weight holds, etc. I found it most useful for training high resistance forearm extension and flexion with the hand in open position (with the ball grip) , while the other hand remained horizontal. I’d recommend training 2-3 times a week as an adjunct to your climbing, focusing on high weight low rep cycles (2-4 rounds, 1-2 efforts).”

“Gripedo is a fantastic tool to develop grip strength. If you want a cast iron grip, this could be a great investment for you. I get a lot of requests for reviews all the time for products, supplements but only a very few get to a stage of review and this is my first and only product that I have reviewed. I really really enjoyed using the gripedo. It is a solid piece of kit and is probably going to outlast my kettlebells. There are a variety ways of using it. What I love about it that it brings the thumb in to play and develops the entire hand and my hands were sore early on but identified weaknesses in my grip. It allows identifying weaknesses and ability to tackle these areas. I have not seen any other tools and products that allows some of the exercise patterns. It is very unique. I have used several grip tools over my time butt gripedo is just an fantastic tool with many capabilities.

This is a pretty cool tool that you can chuck it in back of your car to get a workout anywhere. I will personally be using the Gripedo in a sand bucket for warm up and working for time. I believe it can prevent elbow issues and can help with imbalance issues in the forearm. It is quite difficult to on the grips. The sand training works grips, fingers, wrist, forearms and working with it increases endurance and gives a huge pump in the forearms. This is a very clever design and useful method of training for supination and pronation training for rehab and prehab for elbows and the wrist as well. I am a big fan of wrist rollers and gripedo allows single hand exercises with the nice ball shape handle and you will fell it in your hands really quickly, it works really nicely and allows exercises that are hard to mimic in gym. It is a very versatile device and it is a very clever design. I am a fan of this and implementing in my training.
